When Eldon Warner was deciding where to enroll for higher education, he wanted a university that would support him in pursuing all his interests. He was having a hard time finding a university that would allow and encourage him to participate in both athletics and fine arts, until he encountered the University of South Dakota. While at USD, Warner was supported as a student-athlete on the track team and as a music performance major in the College of Fine Arts.
